Terms
Terms & refunds, in plain language.
TerraEd sells neighbourhood information reports as instant digital goods. These terms cover purchases and what the reports are — and are not.
Refund policy
TerraEd reports are digital goods delivered immediately upon successful payment. Because the full content is provided instantly, all sales are final once a report has been delivered.
- If your report fails to generate or deliver after payment, you are entitled to a full refund. Email eric@terrasignal.ca within 14 days of purchase with your checkout email and we will refund you or regenerate the report, whichever you prefer.
- Duplicate charges for the same report are refunded in full.
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe, typically within 5–10 business days.
Search Pass — fair use
- The Search Pass is a monthly subscription that includes up to 100 report unlocks per calendar month. An unlock is the first time you open a report for a given address or area; re-reading a report you have already unlocked does not count again.
- The Pass is for personal, non-commercial use by you and your household while you search. Reselling, redistributing, or systematically extracting reports is not permitted and may result in cancellation.
- If you reach the monthly limit, additional unlocks pause until your next billing cycle. If you have a genuine need beyond 100 reports, email eric@terrasignal.ca and we will work something out.
- You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Report disclaimer
TerraEd reports are informational estimates, generated from public and licensed third-party data sources (such as census data, transit feeds, open mapping data, and broadband datasets). They are provided to support your own research — they are not advice.
- Reports do not constitute housing, financial, legal, safety, or professional advice of any kind.
- Underlying data sources are updated on differing schedules and may contain errors, omissions, or out-of-date information. Scores and rankings are relative comparisons within a city, not absolute measures.
- Always verify information independently — visit neighbourhoods where possible, and consult official and local sources — before making housing or financial decisions.
- TerraEd makes no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose, and accepts no liability for decisions made in reliance on a report.
